Home 8.11.20

Today we head off home sadly. I enjoy 'camping'. Not far to travel so will be a leisurely morning and we'll stop off at my parents for a visit and possibly a swim.  Things change quickly. With rain about we decided to head for home earlier 😏 144kms to travel.

Cobb n Co campground 7.11.20

This morning we set off to conquer Boulder Mountain on foot. Unfortunately my foot only allowed me to go halfway 😢                        Rock pools ↕ The climb down ⬆ and up ⬇ After some painkillers and an apple I did the 500m (which was actually 800m) walk, which included a creek crossing. In total I walked 3kms. The boys made it to the very top. Fungi on the track.  Photos from the campground.  Lots of families having a fabulous time on bikes and in the billabong.  One of the camping areas ⬇ Part of the bmx track.  Another camping area. Billabong has been in constant use. There's a little petting farm where kids can pat the goats, horse and chooks. 1 of the many Luxury tent areas. Playground and bike track.

Cobb n Co campground, Gympie area 6.11.20

Noisy night with campers arriving very late. A few trains passed by during the night but they didn't bother us. After a 2km walked we packed up to move on.  Gympie radar in the distance  Interesting weights for the pulley system Stopped in Gympie to grab some ice creams and have a coffee. We are meeting up with Carmel and Glen at the campground.  Our view as we step out the camper  Gunther gave some kids a tow from his kayak.  Rocko enjoyed the boys taking him out on the water One of the luxury tents you can hire. Sleeps up to 6 people.  Our camp site from the other side of the billabong  Circumnavigated the billabong, 1.3kms! We had a lovely night sitting around the campfire catching up. We travelled 56kms today. The weather was perfect.
